Where we are

Seat of Toscana Mia - Chianti is Podere Le Rose a beautiful 13th century "casa colonica" (Italian farmhouse typical of the Tuscan countryside) which has been lovingly restored by the de'Mari family, one of the oldest noble families in Italy. Podere Le Rose is in Poggio San Polo, a delightful medieval Italian "borgo", with a few private houses and a restaurant in the heart of the Chianti Classico hillside, half an hour from Siena and an hour from Florence, as you can see from the map.

Podere Le Rose is a typical house of the Tuscan countryside with terracotta floors, chestnut beams, woodfire and in its organic garden, vines, olive trees, roses, oleanders, geraniums, spices, fruit trees and other typical plants of the area flourish, all in the peacefulness and the panorama of unspoilt countryside.

In the area surrounding Podere Le Rose, you can discover the treasures of Chianti, an area well-known for its castles, its medieval "borghi", its wine producers, its skilled craftsmen, its warm and hospitable people, its restaurants, its typical Tuscan food, Chianti Classico wine and olive oil.
Chianti region offers picture-book rural scenery, from fields to sunflowers to rows of ubiquitous pencil pines in the hazy distance. Smaller towns such as Radda in Chianti, Monteriggioni, Volterra, San Gimignano etc. are all an easy drive away, and stunning atmosphere & scenary. Being centrally located Tuscany is well connected by highways & fast rail network to the rest of Italy, so people can go on visiting other areas after or before their stay
